So even though I got very little sleep Sunday night on Monday, July 4, I was apparently ready to go. I ran my best 5K race. I 've done the race (the Sunshine Festival on St. Simons Island) for the past two years. But this time, I finished in 26:40. Whoop whoop. Just add on 23 more miles and that will be my marathon. All done!

From here, Josh and I grabbed breakfast and headed home. The holiday afternoon was spent floating around the pool with Julio and Ash. We grilled out and headed home early ... even before the big fireworks display. Good thing though, I. needed. rest.
